Fleet Feet Opens Three New Stores Nationwide

Fleet Feet, the nation’s largest franchisor of run specialty stores, announced new store openings in Texas, Florida and Mississippi. These locations bring its total to 12 new stores in 2024 alone, and pushes the brand to more than 275 sites, spanning 40 U.S. states.

The new stores are located in Brownsville, Texas; Miami, Florida and Hattiesburg, Mississippi.

Brownsville, Texas

Fleet Feet Brownsville will be led by Hugo and Sandra Gutierrez, building on the success of their McAllen location. The Gutierrez family is deeply rooted in the community, and saw a growing need for a run specialty hub in Brownsville. Their new store brings Fleet Feet’s signature fit id technology and community-focused events to the Rio Grande Valley, offering local runners and walkers expert support to stay active and connected.

Miami, Florida

Pablo Martinez, an entrepreneur and longtime Miami resident, is bringing Fleet Feet to his vibrant community for the first time. After attending The Running Event in 2023, Martinez noted that he was inspired to open a store that combines top running brands – including Brooks, Hoka and On – with Fleet Feet’s standout personalized fitting experience. With Miami’s diverse and active lifestyle, the new store is set to become a key hub for runners, walkers and families that are looking for the right gear to match their goals.

Hattiesburg, Mississippi

Chris and Angie Walker’s path to opening Fleet Feet Hattiesburg started with a single inspiring moment 13 years ago: helping a customer find shoes that finally fit right. Now, their new store brings Fleet Feet’s mission of community support and expert service to Hattiesburg. Stocked with leading running brands and powered by fit id technology, the store aims to be more than a retail space. It is to be a home for runners of all levels to find connection, inspiration and gear that keeps them moving.

With system-wide sales set to surpass $500 million, Fleet Feet continues to prove that the run specialty market is not just holding steady, but thriving. It attributes this success to local owners that it sees as “deeply connected” to their communities, paired with a customer-first approach that is powered by innovations such as the fit id outfitting experience.

In 2025, Fleet Feet also plans to build on this momentum with further expansion in key markets, via a mix of franchise and company-owned stores. The Fleet Feet Running Report gives valuable insights into the state of run specialty, highlighting the brands, trends, and demographics that are crucial to the space.
