Fjällräven to Add Seven U.S. Stores

Having moved its headquarters to Colorado this summer, Fjällräven USA said it expects to open another seven retail stores in by the end of the year. The Swedish outdoor brand started 2015 with nine retail doors in the U.S. and Canada and expects to close the year with 16.

The planned new Fjällräven locations include Chicago; in the Mall of America in Bloomington, Minn.; Meatpacking District in New York City; Uptown Minneapolis/St. Paul; Madison, Wisc.; and Ann Arbor, Mich., which is slated to open in early-November 2015.

The rapid expansion follows years of growth for the brand, which had struggled to gain traction in North America until parent company Fenix Outdoor established Fjällräven USA in 2012, said the company. Fjällräven products are now sold in every state and province in North America.

“There is tremendous momentum around Fjällräven in North America and we are achieving new milestones with each month,” said John Walbrecht, president, Fjällräven North America. “Our success doesn’t come without hard work from our entire team and we have the best in the business. I know that we are ready to take the brand to the next level.”
