Exped USA has hired outdoor-industry veteran, Tracy Collins, as sales director, effective July 1. Collins will join the growing team at the Tacoma, Washington based subsidiary of Exped AG, Zurich, Switzerland.
For the past five years, Collins has worked as senior category merchandise manager at REI. Prior to that, he spent three years as Patagonia’s western regional sales manager and nine years in outdoor specialty retail, purchasing and general management.
“Adding Tracy to our staff elevates the Exped USA sales team to a position of forward-leaning strength as we move to anchor, grow and extend our relationships with our specialty, digital and major accounts in the U.S. market,” said Ted Steudel, president of Exped USA.
“We’ve worked across the table from Tracy for years, so we know the kind of care and professionalism he brings to business relationships. We’re very excited to make his industry expertise available to our retail partners and build our mutual businesses,” Steudel continued.
