eVent Fabrics Adds Personnel to Meet Demand, Assist Korean Expansion

eVent Fabrics, which provides waterproof and breathable laminates, hired three key team members to assist with the growing demand for its expanding lineup of performance laminates, and recent growth in the South Korean market.

These include: Bartosz Lassak (senior sales manager), Xie Yi (textile engineer) and Terry Kim (senior consultant).

“We are taking a range of steps now to position eVent for future growth,” said eVent Fabrics president, Chad Kelly. “Our newest hires and work in the Korean market are just two of our most recent efforts to meet increasing global demand. Additionally, with increasing regulatory pressures and elevated consumer demand for PFAS-free technologies such as our alpineST and BIO laminates, we are well positioned for future success.”

eVent’s recent expansion into the Korean market includes a new strategic partnership with GEO International, a Korean textile company. This collaboration will introduce eVent’s high-performance, waterproof, breathable laminate solutions for apparel, footwear and accessories to the market.

Based in Washington D.C., Bartosz is a senior sales manager for the Eastern U.S. region, and will help expand eVent’s sales footprint as new customers are added to the eVent portfolio. Bartosz brings 20 years of global industry experience, and has a deep knowledge of outerwear materials, end use applications and component brand sales. Most recently, he was a territory sales and marketing manager for Primaloft, managing ingredient brand distribution in the U.K., Germany, eastern Europe, Russia, Turkey and North America.

Xie, meanwhile, will be integral to eVent’s aim of enhancing product strategy and new product introductions. She previously worked as a production assistant for Oya Jacquard Belt and R&D assistant with Atelier LUMA.

At the same time, Terry will support the expansion of eVent’s global footprint into Korean markets, assisting with marketing efforts. Terry has 20 years of industry experience, serving as sales director and new business development director and managing director, fabric division, during his time at Gore-Tex.
