EORA, NESR Conduct First Joint Board Meeting

In early October, the nine-member board of the new combined entity of EORA and NESR gathered in Washington, D.C. for their first annual meeting.

This new governing body is made up of three representatives each from New England, the Mid-Atlantic, and the Southeast regions. The agenda at this initial meeting focused primarily on policy work related to the new entity, including budgets and governing documents. Other meeting highlights include keeping membership dues at $250 for the third year in a row, planning show dates through 2020, establishing committees including the Marketing Committee, and approving eight new members. The Marketing Committee is tasked with choosing a firm to partner with on developing a new name and branding for the new entity

In attendance at the meeting: Kevin Brew, Ray Ferrand, and Kelly Fischer (Mid-Atlantic), Scott Dawson, Scott Heald, and Jim Judd (New England), and Phil Flamand, Norman Pitt, and Mel Chrestman, Jr. from the Southeast. Also attending were Debbie Motz, the organization’s southern director in Asheville, NC and Maureen Bliss, the organization’s northern director in Westborough, MA.

The Board will meet again in April 2018.
