Not slowing down for a second while most retail media obsessed over closings, Dick’s will be celebrating three store openings next weekend. Starting on Friday September 30, the sporting goods retailer will be opening its ninth store in the state of Washington at Kitsap Mall in Silverdale, and two new Dick’s Sporting Goods and Field & Stream stores – one at Melville Mall in Melville, New York, and one 5th Street Station in Charlottesville, Va., (120 Wegmans Way).
The latter new locations features a Dick’s Sporting Goods and a Field & Stream housed under the same roof. They also will be the first Dick’s locations to include a new and improved footwear section designed to offer a broad selection of sports performance and casual footwear.
Three-day Grand Opening celebrations will run through Sunday, October 2. The store will open at 8:00 a.m. on Friday and Saturday and 9:00 a.m. on Sunday. Guests will have the opportunity to mingle with several local sports celebrities at each location and have the chance to receive giveaways throughout the weekend.
