Certified B Corporation and Cotopaxi, an impact-driven adventure brand, announced a second pop-up storefront and third east coast location in the Georgetown neighborhood of Washington, D.C..
The brand already has ties to collegiate communities such as CU Boulder, University of Washington and Boston through existing retail stores, targeted campus initiatives and product colorways.
The newest location, which will remain open through December 2025, serves as a nod to Cotopaxi’s continued investment in inspiring exploration in student populations.
Building on the success of their recent Brooklyn pop-up – which showcases the brand’s crossover relevance – Cotopaxi is solidifying its positioning beyond traditional outdoor industry customers to seek urban audience synergy.
“Cotopaxi has always been a community-first brand, from our early days hosting Questivals to now building purpose-driven retail spaces that bring people together. Our new Georgetown pop-up is a natural evolution of that vision,” said Lindsay Shumlas, the CEO of Cotopaxi. “Being near a vibrant campus and in the heart of D.C. allows us to engage directly with students and young changemakers who care deeply about impact, adventure and good design. It’s more than a store – it’s a hub for connection, creativity and doing good.”
Cotopaxi’s iconic Del Dia collection will take center stage in the store, along with brand-intrinsic purpose and impact messaging, and a welcoming space for students and customers to feel more at home.
To celebrate the pop-up store opening, Cotopaxi will host giveaways, special promotions and activities through July 7. It is inviting customers to join them at the Georgetown location for the chance to win free gear, customized merchandise and gifts with qualifying purchases.
The popup is located at 1057 Wisconsin Ave., Washington, D.C. 20007.
