CORDURA Showcases Lifestyle Fabrics at Winter OR

INVISTA’s CORDURA Brand, known for bombproof durability, debuted street-smart, fashion-foward fabrics for today’s active lifestyles at the Winter Outdoor Retailer Show in Salt Lake City, Utah, Jan. 21-14. New Chambray and CORDURA Denim fabrics from Black Peony and Advanced Denim, CORDURA Combat Wool and stylish lightweight CORDURA Canvas shirting fabrics as well as ISPO TEXTRENDS award-winning fabric innovations, were on display in the CORDURA brand booth, along with a long list of new product adoptions.

Cutting edge products from leading brands such as Reebok, Eddie Bauer, Timberland, Dickies, Carhartt and many more were on display, as well as innovative performance driven award winning CORDURA fabrics from global authorized mills, including those noted below, were debuted.

CORDURA AFT fabric

Tiong Liong: Targeting outdoor and athletic footwear, the newest collection of CORDURA® AFT (Air Flow Technology) fabrics offer stylish durability and enhanced strength-to-weight ratio. This range of highly breathable knits—based on high-tenacity polyester and nylon 6,6 fiber technologies—includes an array of mesh and 3D/spacer fabrics.

CORDURA Ballistic fabric

Daehyun Textile Co Ltd: The latest offerings of CORDURA® Ballistic fabrics targeted at bags, packs and luggage applications are based on INVISTA’s highest tenacity nylon 6,6 airbag technology fibers combined with a classic ballistic weave construction.

CORDURA Canvas fabric

Nishat Mills, Ltd: Nishat will be introducing over thirty new CORDURA® Canvas fabrics based on an intimate blend of INVISTA’s T420 nylon 6,6 fiber with cotton offering durable, stylish options for outdoor urban apparel including lightweight shirting fabrics. Ranging from 4.5 oz to 11 oz the latest Nishat fabric collection

Dong Jin and Huamao (Xiamen) Weaving Dyeing & Finishing Co: In addition to their wide array of durable woven pack and reinforcement offerings, Dong Jin and Hua Mao will each showcase Solution Dyed (SDN) CORDURA® 500d and 1000d fabrics that offer enhanced lot-to-lot color consistency and excellent UV fade resistance.

CORDURA Combat Wool fabric 

Chia Her Industrial Co Ltd.: Chia Her has produced a diverse range of CORDURA® Combat Wool™ fabrics including durable double face weaves with rugged nylon face and 100% Merino wool next-of-skin options. Also featured in their collection are stylish, sophisticated nylon/wool knits and wovens that combine both fashion and functionality.

CORDURA Denim fabric

Latest fabric innovations from Artistic Milliners include durable denims with thermoregulation functionality to enhance warmth or cooling properties when needed. These denim fabrics contain fibers with a specially engineered cross-section that helps to move moisture away from the body when the wearer is hot as well as hollow core fibers to help provide insulation for added comfort on colder days. Other durable performance denims in the CORDURA® Denim fabric collection feature technologies designed to channel moisture away from the skin, enhance airflow and help to keep consumers cool, dry and comfortable during exercise and in warm environments

CORDURA Ecomade and HP fabric

LeeJo Textile Co. (booth #39215): Lee Jo will be highlighting its wide array of durable, printable CORDURA® Ecomade and HP fabrics in a range of constructions providing best-in-class polyester performance for bags, packs and luggage.

CORDURA Lite and Lite Plus fabric

Dong Jin, LeeJo Textile Coand Dae Hyun will present the latest CORDURA® Lite Plus fabrics based on INVISTA’s highest tenacity nylon 6,6 air bag technology fibers – 210d, 420d and 525d for bags, packs and luggage. CORDURA® Lite Plus fabrics demonstrate more than 12% improvement in tensile strength, and lower denier per filament which results increased coverage and a smoother, softer hand when compared with current best-in-class CORDURA® Lite fabrics.

CORDURA Naturalle fabric

Chia Her Industrial Co Ltd: The Chia Her collection includes a variety of durable, abrasion-resistant stretch CORDURA® Naturalle™ fabrics with a soft cotton-like feel in a range of laminations and finishes suitable for all types of outdoor and performance related activities. The latest mélange CORDURA® Naturalle™ fabric design includes excellent abrasion resistance, DWR finish and a 4-way stretch—for use in outdoor clothing including lightweight jackets and high-performance trousers. Several CORDURA® Naturalle™ fabrics from Chia Her have been selected as offering trend seasonality for Fall/Winter 2016/2017 by the ISPO Textrends judging panel.

Huamao (Xiamen) Weaving Dyeing & Finishing Co: Hua Mao will present a comprehensive array of CORDURA® Naturalle™ fabrics, including waterproof, breathable laminates and stretch offerings.

Lee Jo Textile Co. will also be debuting new CORDURA® Naturalle™ woven outerwear apparel fabrics.

CORDURA Ultralite fabric 

Huamao (Xiamen) Weaving Dyeing & Finishing Co: In addition to its full array of 30-100d offerings, new 20d CORDURA® Ultralite fabric for tents and lightweight apparel will be available. CORDURA® Ultralite fabrics from Huamao are Top 10 winners in both the Outer Layer and Soft Equipment categories for ISPO TEXTRENDS 2015 which is designed to showcase the most innovative on trend fabrics for Fall/Winter 2016/2017.
