In 2012, Chaco introduced its MyChacos custom footwear program, empowering consumers to create their own unique designs of the iconic Z sandal. Chaco is expanding its personalization program to include customizable Chaco Flips, assembled in the United States.
Beginning on November 30, consumers can visit MyChacos.com to design their next Flips. Millions of combinations are possible by personalizing eight separate elements of the Flip, including the toe post, footbed, outsole and each side of the webbing strap. There are more than 55 webbing options to choose from including two Grateful Dead licensed designs.
“Chaco owners are a creative bunch and have certainly embraced the opportunity to express their own style through the MyChacos program,” states Colin Butts, director of marketing for Chaco. “Adding Flips to our custom program is something many consumers were asking for, and we’re excited that we’ve been able to add capacity to meet their request.”
A team at Chaco’s Rockford, Mich. facility—also home of the brand’s ReChaco footwear repair program—builds and ships the custom sandals within days.
