Body Glove Signs Guinness Record Holder Bertish as Ambassador

Watersports and outdoor active brand Body Glove International has announced the signing of legendary athlete, speaker and philanthropist Chris Bertish as an official ambassador. The South African born Bertish holds numerous Guinness world standup paddling records while raising millions of dollars for charities around the world.

He is also the subject of “Standing Alone – The SUP Crossing,” a new film to be released this fall, which documents his 2017 solo, unsupported SUP journey across the Atlantic Ocean.

Bertish will make his Body Glove debut in the Body Glove booth at the Outdoor Retailer Show, July 23-26 in Denver, Colorado.

“We are thrilled to welcome Chris to the Body Glove team. He is a remarkable athlete, and clearly his accomplishments are unparalleled. His passion for SUP and “all things water” fits so well with our brand direction. We look forward to working closely with Chris as we continue to advance our product development and technologies, while also supporting the community and sport through our partnership together,” said Peter Maule, Body Glove’s Senior Vice President, Sports and Active.

“We are incredibly pleased and proud to welcome Chris to the Body Glove family. His athletic and charitable achievements, combined with his inspirational love of All Things Water, fit perfectly with what we’re all about as a brand,” said John Chenciner, of Body Glove’s Footwear and Inflatable Watersports division.

Bertish will be signing posters at the Body Glove Outdoor Retailer booth 31007-UL throughout the week.
