San Francisco-based Alite Designs has launched an online store dedicated to its collection of Made in California styles. Featuring some of Alite’s most popular products, the store can be found at www.alite-cali.com. The site launches this week with the following fan favorites: Bike to the Beach Bag, Boreas X Alite Collab, Forage to the Farm Bag, Mini Bike to the Beach Bag and Pine to the Pacific Bag.
Much of the Made in California line is constructed and sourced within a biking distance of the Alite warehouse. Cowhide leather is found in Napa, and then cut with the canvas at a local design and pattern company called Clinton Park. Additionally, each Bike to the Beach bag is numbered with a special letterpress tag that is also printed locally at Western Editions.
“These are products we take special pride in, as we make most of them by hand right here in our Alite warehouse with materials sourced from our neighbors in the Bay Area,” said Tae Kim, Alite creative director and co-founder. “Our goal is to represent the spirit of the local maker and thriving artisan community that we are proud to be part of.”
