Academy Sports + Outdoors today announced that it will expand its presence in the Corpus Christi area with a new location in Portland, Texas and a renovation of the 110,000 sq. ft. Corpus Christi store. Academy will bring more than 100 new jobs to Portland with a 58,000 square foot store that’s slated to open in spring 2014.
The Corpus Christi location will feature an expanded sales floor and a new look throughout the store including an updated archery lane, digital golf simulator and open concepts including footwear, hunting, fishing, patio, water sports and more. The store will remain open during renovations.
