The recipients of the 10th annual Outdoor Retailer Inspiration Awards were unveiled during Outdoor Retailer Online on Wednesday, July 22, 2020. The ceremony was held online as awards were presented across six categories to outdoor community advocates for their commitment to outdoor participation and access.
Now in the 10th year, the Outdoor Retailer Inspiration Awards annually recognize those that inspire and encourage others to enjoy, participate in and support outdoor recreation. This year, the awards shifted online to be held during Outdoor Retailer Online, and a 13-member judging panel determined the finalists and winners.
The ceremony was hosted by rock climber, outdoor advocate, and past recipient Timmy O’Neill (pictured), and awards were presented for individual, manufacturer, retailer, nonprofit organization, youth, and in the new #weareCommunity category. This year’s honorees:
Individual: Teresa Baker, Faith E. Briggs, and Tracy Nguyen-Chung
Manufacturer: Smartwool
Retailer: Outdoor Gear Exchange
Nonprofit: Greening Youth Foundation
Youth: Tatianna Butte
