This expan- sion was done to bolster Mountain Hardwear’s field teams particularly in the out- door and ski specialty retail channels. “For the last two years we have been focused on build- ing our product offering while sharpening our distribution to partner with the very best in outdoor and ski specialty re- tail,” said Mountain Hardwear president, Joe Vernachio. “We are very excited to bring on strategic and professional representation in Caraway & Co and Eventum to help bring these efforts to life in the marketplace.” Dana Caraway and Terry Imus are based out of Oceanside, Calif., and Las Vegas, Nev., respectively, and have been appointed principal Mountain Hardwear sales representatives with Caraway & Co in the west. Caraway & Co has been around for 15 years and will oversee sales and service efforts in California, Nevada and Arizona. Chip Parker, based out of Mount Pleasant, S.C., has been appointed principal sales representative for the southeast territory with his sales agency, Eventum Sales, and will be covering the terri- tory including South Carolina, North Carolina, Florida, Vir- ginia, West Virginia, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi and Ten- nessee. KAVU has promoted from within to fill a sales void in its home territory. Stepping into the Northwest sales role is Kath- ryn Strasle, “an energetic, vibrant butt kicker” who has been with KAVU for three years, most recently working at KAVU’s flagship store in the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle, Wash. “I’m grateful for this opportunity to move into the Northwest sales role and invest in the territory where KAVU is so deeply rooted,” said Strasle. “KAVU days ahead!” BASE Performance Names Australian Distributor FastGear has been named as the exclusive Aus- tralian distributor for BASE Performance, a supplier of nutritional supplements for endurance athletes. “FastGear has a strong presence in Oceania, and we are excited to announce our expansion with John at the helm,” said Jay Weber, director of international for BASE Performance. “Using his expertise, BASE will be able to expand to the many markets Austra- lians are utilizing sports nutrition, as well as gain ac- tivation at the many events he is attending.” 360 Adventure Collective Appoints Gellert as EO 360 Adventure Collective(360 AC), the mem- ber association that has hosted regional, focused events for sales reps and retailers for more than 40 years, recently welcomed a new executive director, Stacey Gellert. The board of directors unanimously approved the appointment following a search process that started last September. Ef- fective April 1, Gellert moved into the role following the retirement of former director Debbie Motz, who served 30 years with the non-profit. “I’ve known and worked with Stacey for most of the 17 years she’s been with EORA and 360 AC,” noted Phil Flamand, 360 Adventure Collective’s board president. “She has proven to be dedicated, diligent and a tremendous asset. Her experience will be critical in leading 360 AC in the right direc- tion during the ever-shifting future of trade shows and the challenging times we are living in.” Gellert is an outdoor industry veteran with more than 17 years of experience in trade show man- agement. Most recently, she has overseen 360 Adventure Collective’s Mid-Atlantic and New Eng- land regions. During her tenure, Gellert has helped the organization grow to over 675 members with 14 annual shows servicing 2,900+ retailers.
