InsideOutdoor | WINTER 2022 38 In-Season Vasque Vasque calls the Breeze its most beloved boot of the last two decades. For 2022 the company went back to the classic design principles that made the original Breeze what it was, while modernizing its approach in design and introducing sustainable, durable materials at every turn. Highlights include 2.0mm waterproof nubuck leather uppers, with recycled polyester mesh and trim and rubber rand; an Enduralast Bio high rebound EVA midsole made with 20% plant-based ingredients; and a Vasque Trail Strider proprietary outsole that provides excellent multidirectional traction, a defined heel brake for added control on descents and durability for the long haul. SRP is $160. Dynafit Developed for ambitious athletes, the TLT X is the boot of choice for big challenges on alpine terrain where total reliability and trust is demanded. At just 1,030 grams and a cuff rotation of 60 degrees, the TLT X ensures a natural, energysaving walking motion on the climb. The innovative Twist Fit closure system enables fast, precise fit adjustments via an easily rotated adjustment dial. A full-wrap cable not only guarantees a secure hold at the instep but also at the heel, thus ensuring stability and superior power transfer on the descent. SRP is $800. XTRATUF The latest development to the popular Ankle Deck Boot (ADB) line addresses the challenge of achieving traction on wet and icy surfaces and also enables the wearer to easily transition from working on wet ice to other wet surfaces securely. The new ADB ICE styles, available in both a waterproof rubber and high-abrasion nylon upper, feature a Glacier Trek Pro outsole, XTRATUF’s proprietary ice-gripping compound paired with an SRC-rated, slip-resistant rubber. Both the ADB ICE rubber and nylon feature a faux shearling lining for quick-drying comfort and warmth. The ADB ICE Nylon also includes TUFdry, a waterproof/breathable membrane and TUFloft, a waterresistant synthetic insulation. Trail & Mountain Footwear SCARPA The Ribelle Run Kalibra G is built for seriously gnarly trail conditions. The upper features an integrated stretch-woven gaiter over the ankle that repels snow and water, ideal for snowy winter runs or sloppy trails. Inside, SCARPA’s Wrap360 closure system powered by BOA provides an effortless and secure closure on the inner shoe for a confidenceinspiring fit. A TPU rand encircles the perimeter of the shoe providing 360-degree support and protection. Underfoot traction stems from SCARPA’s Presa outsole with 5mm deep lugs and H-Compound rubber, formulated for cold and wet conditions. SRP is $239.
