GORE-TEX PRO will now contain three pillars: fabrics that offer stretch, fabrics optimized for breathability and fabrics with increased ruggedness and durability. Being able to combine the three technologies in one garment allows manufacturers to more effectively build apparel targeting different types of performance and different kinds of uses. The stretch technology is particularly innovative, said GORE, offering an entirely new way of creating stretch in a waterproof fabric. Elevenate The standout pieces of the new Nordic Dreams collection, the Bec de Rosses Jacket and Pants, of- fered in both men’s and women’s designs, is made with all-seam-sealed, three-layer GORE-TEX PRO fabric designed to provide the best weather protec- tion available while ski touring or chasing powder deep in the backcountry. Inspired by wet suit de- sign, the ski jacket has a unique cut that provides excellent freedom of movement. The pants include a detachable stretch bib with suspenders to keep the snow out after a big storm. eClean eClean has taken 100-year-old dry-clean and laun- dry techniques that waste precious water or use toxic chemicals, while deteriorating garments with heated dry cycles, and turned them on their head. Its eco-responsible Advanced Fabricare cleaning service optimizes perfor- mance and actually extends the active life of apparel, textiles and gear up to 4X with no shrinkage, color loss or odor. No harsh mechanical action is needed because a proprietary liquid carbon dioxide technology has unique properties, including low surface tension, which allows for a hygienic, nearly hospital grade clean. What’s more, retailers can partner with eClean and generate recurring revenue by offering their customers access to the cleaning services to extend the life of their gear.
