Based in Boise, Idaho, and founded in 1960, Western Power Sports ( WPS) distributes more than 130,000 p roducts, including ff oad a nd street motorcycle, ATV, snowmobile, and watercraft parts and acces- sories, to more than 10,000 deal- ers nationwide. WPS is among the fastest-growing nation-wide delivery systems for powersports industry products, with regional warehouse locations in Idaho, California, Ten- nessee, Pennsylvania, Indiana, and Texas, according to the company. Founded in 2008 in Bend, Ore., Giant Loop designs and manufactures ex- pedition proven motorcycle saddle- bags, panniers, dry bags and tank bags, snowmobile and snow bike tunnel bags, racing fuel bladders, hol- sters for personal emergency loca- tor beacons and gear for extreme overland travel. From its origins in adventure motorcycle travel, Giant Loop has expanded into bicycle pack- ing, snow sports, paddlesports, ATV/ UTV and 4x4 markets. Giant Loop products currently are sold in the company’s GL Ad- venture Shop warehouse showroom in Bend, Ore., as well as online and via dealers across the USA and internationally at dealers in Aus- tralia, Belgium, Canada, Colombia, Denmark, Finland, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Kenya, Laos, Malaysia, New Zealand, Poland, South Africa, Spain, Sweden and United Kingdom. G3 , the Vancouver-based manu- facturer of premium backcountry ski and snowboard equipment, recently retained the All Mountain Group , a sales agency with deep experi- ence in the industry, and specifically backcountry skiing, to help drive sales growth in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeastern United States. AMG is comprised of outdoor industry veter- ans Russ Clune , Al Diamond , Ty- ler Merritt and Erik Mushial . Hydro Flask , a Helen of Troy Limited company, expanded its grow- ing global presence into the Asia- Pacific market this winter. Beginning in December 2017, Hydro Flask will launch into Australian retailers through a new strategic partnership with Surf Composites . Key chan- nels include surf, dive, skate, active lifestyle, outdoor and sporting goods. Surf Composites is led by company owner Dave Byrne . La Sportiva has hired Jeff Sadler as its national sales manager. Sadler joins the brand from Deuter and will work closely with the network of independent sales reps and La Sportiva dealers. Since working in accounts receivable at La Sportiva from 1999 to 2000, Sadler climbed the ranks at Trango from customer service to international sales manager during the years of 2001 to 2008. He then ran Boulder CrossFit from 2007 to 2010 before joining Deuter and again rising up the executive ladder. Germany-based mountain ap- parel brand Maloja is expanding its U.S. sales presence with a full set of sales agency representation. Up- per Hollow Partners , located in Stowe Vt., will continue to develop strategic partnerships with customers in New England and the Mid Atlantic, led by partners Kate Ball-Young , Wally Young and Alex Dossin . Representing the brand in California and Nevada, Adrienne Schnei- der of Alpine Sports Market- ing and Sales is an independent manufacturers representation firm specializing in the bicycle, ski, tacti- cal and outdoor markets. Soul in the Woods , meanwhile, is Maloja’s agency of record for the Northwest and Rocky Mountain Territory, includ- ing Washington, Oregon, Utah, Idaho, Montana, Colorado and New Mexico. Owner Carter Rowand is based out of Sun Valley, Idaho, where he, along with his family, operate Bavarian Soul , the first retail store to carry Maloja in the USA. Rounding out the North American agency team are three firms in Canada. The Parkhill Agency , led by agency owner Jeff Parkhill , brings the knowledge of more than 20 years of outdoor indus- try experience to support the work of buyers in British Colombia and Alberta. Agence Sports’ Nicolas Desroches and Luc Luchaine will nurture existing and build new rela- tionships with key retailers in Que- bec. Desroches will handle eastern Quebec while Luchaine will handle western Quebec. Blizzard/Tecnica announced that Savanna Cochran will be the new associate sales representative in Colorado, Southeast Wyoming and New M exico, effective immedi- ately. Cochr an will work directly with Jeff Sale , principal sales represen- tative of Bodacious Sales , repre- senting Blizzard/Tecnica. Cochran has a variety of on-snow experience having been a racer, ski patroller and instructor. She brings both retail and marketing experience to the job as well, most recently as sales associ- ate for Vail Resorts where she man- aged more than 15,000 pieces of ski equipment and educated customers about products and technology. Prior to that Cochran spent time in the Peace Corp and as a Trade Policy Associate for the U.S. Senate Com- mittee on Finance. Summit Sales NW, a leading outdoor sales agency in the Pacific Northwest, announced a new busi- ness partnership with the GRIP6 Belt Company . Based in Seattle, Wash., Summit Sales NW represents some of the leading brands in the outdoor industry including Osprey Packs, Cascade Designs, SCARPA, G3, The Landmark Project and Per- fect Storm Boots. Colorado-based endurance drink mix manufacturer, Tailwind Nutri- tion , is partnering with distributors Hans Johnsen Company and Downeast Bicycle Specialists to serve independent bicycle retailers throughout the United States.
