Tecnica Adds Rep in South Central U.S.  Effective immediately, Mike Young will service deal- ers for Italian-based footwear brand Tecnica in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana and Arkansas. After re-entering the U.S. footwear market and introducing its custom-fit trail shoes, enthusiasm for Tecnica footwear has rap- idly grown among retailers and consumers alike, said the company, citing accounts of customers traveling for several hours to authorized Tecnica dealers to experi- ence the proprietary C.A.S. technology. The additional sales support is expected to build on this momentum. Young brings 35 years of experience in perfor- mance footwear to his new role with Tecnica, having played a role in the development of Prince’s T-Series tennis shoe, which went on to be the number one ten- nis shoe for several years. “Mike has a track record of success in the footwear industry, and his impact in the South Central US will be felt immediately,” said Justin Heanue, Tecnica national sales manager.  Young resides in Austin, Texas, with his wife and two daughters.
