Smartwool announced that industry veteran Scott Bowers will join the brand as vice president of sales, effective immediately. Bowers will oversee all global wholesale, retail and e-commerce sales efforts for the brand.
Bowers has spent 27 years of his career helping to build the iconic Oakley brand. As chief marketing and digital officer, he served as the brand steward with global responsibility for leading brand identity, worldwide marketing strategies, e-commerce and sales demand creation building a company from its infancy to over one billion dollars in revenue.
More recently, he was a founding partner with Project-Aspen, a brand transformation and strategy consultancy, assisting companies such as The North Face, Wheel Pros, Faraday Future, Scott Sports, Lamborghini, and Black Diamond Equipment. Prior to that he was CMO at Wheel Pros and Factory Design Labs and also held board positions with Black Diamond Equipment and Surf Industry Manufacturers Association.
