Verde Debuts ‘Take Me Outdoors’ Podcast

Verde Brand Communications announced the launch of its Take Me Outdoors podcast, hosted by Kristin Carpenter-Ogden, founder and CEO of Verde. The new weekly show can be found in the “Outdoor” category of iTunes every Wednesday.

Verde’s new podcast will introduce the visionaries, leaders and influencers comprising the outdoors to a broader audience, giving listeners an insider’s view of outdoor community, said the marketing firm. It also exists to increase awareness and encourage support of important issues affecting the environment, outdoor access and the trajectory of the outdoor recreation economy today, said Verde.

The debut episode features a conversation with John Sterling, executive director of the Conservation Alliance, titled “Why Our Public Lands Are at Risk.” This episode was recorded the morning after the results of the 2016 presidential election were announced. In the show, Sterling taps his decades-long conservation involvement to inform his commentary on the future of land use and designation.

Two additional episodes are available now, featuring GearJunkie.com founder Stephen Regenold and The Access Fund’s Brady Robinson. A new episode of the Take Me Outdoors podcast will post every Wednesday in iTunes.

“We love being part of the outdoor community and building the success of the outdoor recreation economy,” said Ogden. “The ‘Take Me Outdoors’ podcast enables us to give back and use our agency’s reach to create a positive impact for the outdoor communities we serve.

“And if you have an idea for a show,” she said, “Tweet us @verdebrandcomm.”
