Salomon Appoints VP of Footwear Category

Salomon President Jean-Marc Pambet announces the appointment of Guillaume Meyzenq as Vice President of the company’s Footwear category. Meyzenq, who has been an employee at Salomon since 1996, was previously in the role of Vice President of Commercial Footwear.

In his new position, he will support Pambet, who serves a double role as President of Salomon and President of Footwear for Amer Sports, the parent company of Salomon.

“Guillaume has delivered strong contributions to Footwear projects during the past eight years, gathering the required competencies and leadership to take on this new responsibility,” says Pambet. “He has multicultural and business experience, he has managed product creation, and he has expertise in commercial activities.”

Meyzenq will now be responsible for Innovation, Product Marketing, Design, Development, Sourcing, Sales & Operation Planning, and Commercial for the Salomon Footwear category.

Since 2009, the Salomon brand has doubled its total sales to 800 million Euros, with footwear representing 55 percent of that business. Salomon and the Amer Sports Footwear Category are the largest business contributors to Amer Sports, whose portfolio of brands also includes Wilson, Arc’teryx, Atomic, Mavic, Suunto, Precor, DeMarini, Louisville Slugger, and Enve.

A replacement for Meyzenq’s Commercial role will be named in the near future.
