eBay, together with VAUDE, has launched the VAUDE-Second-Use-Shop (www.ebay.de/vaude) in Germany. Private sellers can sell VAUDE brand products in the Re-commerce shop that they no longer need.
People who want to shop environmentally responsible will find used outdoor clothing and mountain sport equipment for reduced prices. By participating in the store as a buyer or a seller, users are extending the useful life of products, keeping quality items from being sent to landfill, said the companies.
VAUDE is the first outdoor brand for which eBay in Germany has created a designated shop for used products.
“This cooperation is consistent with our close partnerships with retailers. As a manufacturer we are engaged to ensure that our products are being used as long as possible. This is how we can make a real contribution to environmental protection and, at the same time, raise awareness for this issue. VAUDE is strengthening its brand positioning further, thus supporting professional retailers,” says Jan Lorch, Director of Sales & CSR at VAUDE.
